Sherry Russ offers 12 prizes to the lucky ones. Could it be you?
That's not all however...Day 17 has extra prizes too...
I created a set of mixed media artwork for my artist trading cards. These pieces were pretty easy to create using just a few supplies and I could not be more happy with how they turned out. I adore the combination of softness and grunge all in one place. The surface only holds brush stroke texture and I only used gesso to achieve it.
Some up close shots:
I stamped a butterfly and a bird directly on the watercolor + gesso background after its completely dried.
As you can see I only play with gesso, watercolors and stamping plus a little bit of coloring on the leaves. I sprinkle white watercolor paint lightly here and there for extra dimension. Lastly I doodle a bit here and there with black gel pen for signature style as proof of my work {chuckle}. Spot the doodle below the stem in the photo below?
This was inspired by my love for nature photography which I had a couple months ago. It's really hard to capture wings animals, they refuse to sit still and to make it work I use sport function on my dslr camera. I hope some day I will get the longer lens to shoot more fascinating movement from afar.
It was windy so I did my best adjusting the camera while standing on the ladder.
The young birdie looked at me in wonder probably telling himself how crazy this lady was taking the risk for numbers of shots but just one seems okay {teeheehee}.
That's it for today. I hope you find some inspirations from my artwork. No extravaganza products used just combination of gesso for texture, watercolor paints, black gel pen and ink pad and last but not least the wonderful stamp products from STAMPlorations shop.
This is the extra fun you get for dropping by my blog right now. Yes we mentioned 12 prizes in 12 days but extra prizes is unbelievable {smile}.
