DS4J New DigiStamps & Artwork Tutorial

Good day! DigiStamps4Joy has new digistamps in the shop this day. The images look so beautiful! Check out what my fellow design teammates have created using the new products. I have designed a card with a bamboo image and you can get the image here.

I love bamboo in my living for crafts and interior decor especially. For my card, I want it to have Asian feel and decided to go for artwork. I used very easy to get and to do technique. Basically I use ink pad by Versa Ink to stamp the background, my kids' watercolor and stencil.
I directly applied the paint onto the card to create my own background.
I used stencil to draw some butterflies. I used stencil because I don't have steady hand to draw, smile.
I like to ink up the edge with black pen (here I used Copic because it's within reach:). It gives more depth for matting.
The butterflies are printed, cut out and colored with Copic Sketch. It's fun to make your own background and that makes your creation unique.
I hope my little tutorial and tips are helpful. Once again, I thank you for visiting and do visit DS4J blog and shop for more details.

Hugs and smiles,

Wish

Happy Saturday and hope your day is bright. My creation today simply makes my day brighter because I have made a card based on selection of colors which are not my favorite, lol...yet I love the end result and decided to leave my cards as is without embellishment {erm, not really me because I love to adorn my cards but however, this vintage image looks very elegant  so I thought a clean cut card is just wonderful}.
Today's make is for Crafter's Digital Art Center Inspiration Challenge Room. The challenge inspiration is based on this picture:
I am not so much into color palette so I would say this is not my cup of tea let alone the colors, ain't my favorite. Argh, must I say this again, lol. Nevertheless I love my simplicity card :) The image of the umbrella hat lady is a freebie from Free Digital Stamp and colored with Copic Sketch. The sentiment is from Heidi Grace.

I'm happy to take my card into these challenges:

Wish you blue sky and everything nice. Thanks for visiting.

Supplies: Back To Paper digi image, sentiment from Ginger's House,
Copic Sketch, MS border punch, Carla Craft punch and others from my stash
 The sentiment has different perspective!

Just Saying Hello

Hello there! Sharing another creation for Crafter's Digital Art Center (CDAC) progressive challenge. This is quite challenging when I do it last  minute! The challenge started way back in March and participants are given three jolly months to complete the challenge.
Oh boy, I was so busy with life and all I really forgot this challenge until yesterday. There are four images altogether and to get each image, a paper creation must be done with the first image, make a blog post, link it to CDAC and then only you can ask for the next image via email. It is a fun challenge but it is challenging when it's super last minute, lol.
Here's my card:

The rainbow image and sentiment are from Back To Paper. I thought it'd be neat to make a fun bright card this time. I used Copic Sketch to fill in the image.

Off to send this card into these challenges:
1. Crafter's Digital Art Center : Progressive Digi Challenge

Thank you for your visit. I'll see you soon.

I am back & it's a go, go, go (as always:)

The kids have returned to school last week after two weeks break. That simply explains my m.i.a; I needed a big break after nursing my children with chicken pox the last two months. Unfortunately my little one came down with it after her three siblings so the second week of holidays were not too pleasant. Fortunately we were spending hols at my Mother's home so she helped me with nursing my children. It was a huge relief. Meanwhile, the girls are doing fine except my son still needs tender loving care as his chicken pox is not healing hundred percent. Welcome back Miss Florence Nightingale; that's me!

So, before I left for vacation, I made two cards for DigiStamps4Joy
new tag release last month. Here's sharing my dt make for today.

A baby card using baby tag image. Click here for details.
Supplies: DS4J digi image, MS border punch, Kaisercraft ink pad, Versafine ink pad and handmade origami hearts
My big girl likes origami so she made some hearts for my supplies...how sweet :)

DS4J previous challenge #68 was Oh To Be Young Again. I have designed a card with school theme using School Girl image. Click here to get her. The image reminds me of my primary school years because this is how I look like as a student in the 80's, lol. Ooops, I had colored the footwear wrongly; supposed to be white school shoes and white socks.
Sharing two photos from my school album :)
Standard 1 (year 1979). Standing second row 7th place from left is me at age 7. Mrs Ngui in brown dress was our principal. She's a sweet and nice lady! So was our class teacher in lilac (can't recall her name, hmm).
Standard 6 (1984). Standing back row 2nd place from left is me at age 12.
Do I have similar hair style like the image below? Smile :)
Such sweet memories! Until then, take care and thank you for dropping by.
Hugs and smiles,
