Artsy Floral Doodle @ STAMPlorations

Hello everyone and welcome November. The year is coming to end shortly. Time flies like every other year but 2020 is very different. Started with just an unseen virus that completely change everyone's life including mine. The best time of year we had was January during our family holiday in Penang then came February when the virus spread into my country slowly and aggressively until now. Despite the pandemic, we live on a new normal life and do our best in our daily routine. My radius is just between my home and school with food shopping in between. Still, there are some beautiful moments though rare. What about you?

Enough blab! Let me take you to STAMPlorations November Stencil Challenge. The design team has created amazing paper crafts for inspirations and idea. I made a one layer card (not very me if you know me, lol). I played with ink pads over two different stencils and doodle with black gel pen. Only basic and simple.

I cut a kitchen sponge into small square and press gently over several color ink pads then gently sponging through Lattice stencil to create pretty pattern. I was satisfied with my choice of colors for the background {love love love...chuckle}.

Next step was sponging through Lupinus stencil over the background for the flowers. Black gel pen was again used to outline the stem and leaves through the same stencil. Then I fill up the leaves and stem with watercolors. For additional interest, I used similar black gel pen to doodle the outline. As usual, I like to splatter white paint to complete my creation. I really don't know who did it in the first place and something many do including me {smile}.

I chose a sentiment from Inspirational #2 Clear Stickers and ta-da, it's done.

Hi everyone! The final reveal is here...Day 5.

It has been enjoyable moments being with each and everyone of you visiting my blog and reading your motivational comments which I highly appreciate as well as reading all your comments at STAMPlorations blog the past four days.

I conclude the 7th Birthday Celebration with a watercolor tag in the background holding up a butterfly symbolize one's freedom to roam about freely to his heart's content yet the aimless wander often resulting to lesson in disguise.

I love this beautiful creature resting on Painted Scales background. Giving her some depth simply by doddle her wings with black gel pen.

I stamped a sentiment from Born To Roam stamp set and randomly stamped down some patterns from Artsy Border Maker to nice up the edge. When all done and feeling satisfied, I splatter black paint for additional interest like always.
I sincerely hope you will find my tag inspiring. I've seen some of your gorgeous make at Mr. Linky. Looking forward to see more inspirations by you for me to be inspired as well {smile}.

7th Birthday Celebrations ~ Day 4 @ STAMPlorations

Hello and howdy-do my lovely friends! I am back on behalf of STAMPlorations as part of their design team bringing you another favorite card recently created in conjunction of STAMPlorations Belated 7th Birthday~Day 4.

My inspiration creation is what I call serene yet challenging. Only stenciling with homemade texture paste carefully swipe through the delicate boughs and branches; that's where the challenge start. The shop offers two thicknesses of high quality stencil material. If you love making mixed media projects, I recommend you to use the 10ml slimline stencil which is hazy/cloudy white stencil material because it is ideal for heavy use.

I love the texture look after it is dried. Looks something like a stucco wall. I want this to be a simple card and only used blue watercolor paint to add some brightness on the top part. For the sentiment, I stamped a quote from Born To Roam stamp set. For additional interest, I added a stamped leaf from Trendy Leaves 2 stamp set.

So there you have it. I hope you find my stucco card interesting and inspire you to create yours and if/when you do, link up your make to Mr. Linky.

All products in the store, including the birthday release, are instantly 10% off in October, and if you use my code STAMPGIRLASMAH you'll get a further 20% off AND you'll get this not-yet-released Just Plaid square stencil.
That's it. Come back tomorrow for the final showcase.
Stay safe and best of times to all.

Hugs and smiles,

7th Birthday Celebration ~ Day 3 @ STAMPlorations

Hello again everyone! Oh yes, yes, yes...Day 3 is here celebrating 7th years of STAMPlorations. I'm super excited to share my easy and quick tag made with the newest STAMPlorations products you can get at the shop at special price this month.

I appreciate your time and thank you for visiting me yesterday. I enjoyed reading your comments so much and here's hoping you win something if luck is on your side.

A few up-close shots:

I used white card stock to begin with and die cut using Tag And Nesting Dies. Then I swipe homemade texture paste through Glass Blooms Slimline Stencil to create some random pattern and air dry for a while. Then I drop neutral colors and spritz water over it to let it run freely on the card surface by tilting it.

I stamped Bloomfully ~ Remember flower directly on the dried surface using Versafine ink pad. I started doodling the flowers for depth and additional interest. This is always my favorite part.
Lastly I stamped a sentiment and added butterflies as well to finish off the tag plus black splatter for another additional interest.
So there you have it. I hope you find my tag interesting and inspire you to create yours and if/when you do, link up your make to Mr. Linky.

7th Birthday Celebration ~ Day 2 @ STAMPlorations

Hi there! It's Day 2 celebrating 7th years of STAMPlorations. Thank you to each and every one of you for visiting my blog yesterday. And I must thank you in advance right away for reading my post right now (terima kasih  in my language means thank you).

This special event needs no introduction I'm so sure for I know all of you are biggest STAMPlorations supporters/fan/clients for seven years. Shery Russ always has been generous with her prize, surprise and giveaway over the years. This one is no exception.

Play along and who knows you could be in the winner list.

Day 2 present a mixed media and shabby chic combo on a handmade mini album cover. This is kick start to creating the pages next. Work in progress I should say {smile}.

Some up-close pictures:

I swipe homemade texture paste trough Mosaic In Squares slimline stencil to create a pattern and let dry.
I'm very much in love with the new cover plate namely Wonky Stitched Grid Texture. Why? Because I love sewing and I sometimes sew my paper craft by hand or use sewing machine. But having this cover plate add extra bonus because the stitched grid texture looks so real (to my eyes perhaps, lol) that I can easily skip needle and thread once in a while. Why not?

I used Sizzix to die cut four pieces of book pages altogether and started tearing them into pieces. Then I glue them down on the cardboard. Once the base is ready, I applied texture paste stated above.
For a little dramatic look, I stamped Bloomfully - Remember accordingly to my plan. That's why it's so important to stick to your plan so you won't go wrong...smile. .but of course sometimes things don't go the way you plan right? Because you see, once I completed this cover page and snap pix for this post, when I thought I was 100% done and dusted, I realized I did not stamp a sentiment like I always do...ayayaiii.
It's okay, I can add later when I start doing the pages for this mini album.
You can't rush art eh (chuckle).
The Ovals Flexi Template by Monika Skinner is so flexible allowing you to design any way you like. I use the template to make an oval frame by cutting a thick corrugated cardboard. Then I wrap it up with brown twine and stick it on the front cover album. I applied black lace and cream lacy flowers with black gems in the center to finish off this project.
And here's the finished cover mini album once again (without sentiment yet --- I forgot!!). Are you like me sometimes?

Well that's it from me today. Check out yesterday's post here if you haven't already. Be sure you don't miss out anything.
I see you tomorrow on Day 3. Stay tuned!
Till tomorrow, stay safe and create.
Hugs and smiles,

7th Birthday Celebration ~ Day 1 @ STAMPlorations

Hello everyone! The 7th Birthday Celebration begins today! I'm super excited to invite you over to STAMPlorations and celebrate with us. The designers and myself are ready to showcase our creations to kick start your crafty mood on this very beautiful day.

Our 7th Birthday Linky Party starts today as well. You can link up any birthday -or celebration-themed project for a chance to win fabulous prizes, including a $40 gift code to the STAMPlorations store.

I created a one layer card with different medium used.

For this creation, I used masking technique to stamp down Bloomfully: Remember stamp several times near the edges of the card to create some sort of oval shape and leave the background of Winter Flowers white space in the center for the sentiment.

I decided to leave the stamped flowers as is so I can doodle the petals with black gel pen. To finish off the card, I splatter black ink and leave to dry.

I hope you find my card inspiring and that you'd like to give it a try. Do link up your creation for a chance to win.
That's it for Day 1. We shall be back again soon on Day 2. Stay tuned!

I see you when I see you. Have fun creating and thank you for dropping by.

Grateful @ STAMPlorations

Hi everyone! It's time to reveal my make and remind you of the October challenge that's currently on the run at STAMPlorations. If you haven't played yet, there's two weeks more left. The designers have created gorgeous inspirations and ideas; take a look HERE.

Here's my card of zentangle doodle on mandala. I often find both zentangle doodle and mandala very fascinating. What I like best is the geometric design from the beginning and then I just go with the flow feeling so relax.

One either use math compass or anything goes with round shape to draw different size of circles in the first step of creating mandala. I choose the easy way this time because the design is already there on the Floral Flutes stencil which was cut out neatly, colored and distressed with brown ink pad before I glue down on the first mat.

First I dry emboss the stencil on white card stock; then I used Sharpie pen, Artline pen and gel pen to outline the design and create zentangle doodle.
I finished the card with Grateful word die colored black using black Sharpie. Then I glue down on second mat which was cut using Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies.

Easy way if you want to create something quick and fun. Just use any stencils you have and doodle your style.

I hope my creation will give you some ideas to make your own mandala and zentangle doodle while keeping your mind relax. I sure did {smile}.

Do visit the shop for the amazing sale.

That's it for now. I shall be back soon with exciting event coming up soon. Till then, stay safe and enjoy life sweetly.

Hugs and smiles,
