Things With Wings {Tag} @STAMPlorations ~ Blog Hop & Linky Party

Hi everyone! How's life? I have been quite busy multi tasking of late with hope to get done as many things as possible before May take off. Quite a big mission going on over here. Wonder if its the same on your end? Whatever you are up to I wish all goes well as planned.

Without further ado, let me share with you another project made special for Things With Wings Blog Hop & Linky Parties at STAMPlorations. Click here to view the design team's amazing tags.

Here's mine which I made quick, sweet and simple. Hope you like it {smile}.
 Some up-close shots:
I used Luggage Tags Nesting Dies to cut two pieces of card stock with Sizzix and glued the smaller tag on the bigger one. Then I stamped a trendy birdie using Kaisercraft purple stamp pad on card stock and fussy cut. Lastly I applied a quote I googled from internet and printed on card stock. All the edges were distressed with the same purple stamp pad. Easy peasy project if you want to make in less than thirty minutes {okay, unless the printer doesn't co-operate so just use a stamp of quote you have or write down ~ handwritten note is more meaningful don't you think?}.
I look forward to see your creation/s with tag or tag by itself at Mr. Linky by 31st May. Be sure to display this graphic below in your blog post to be eligible for the prize:
I'll be glad if you mention my name when shopping at STAMPlorations shop:
That's it! Wish you happy hop and stay blessed!

Hugs and smiles,

For Mom @ DS4J

Hello there! Wishing you great times on this beautiful day!
Over at Digistamps4Joy is an on going Anything Goes challenge with a twist For Mom in conjunction to Mother's Day celebration this entire month.

My team-B-mates have designed stunning cards for this special to inspire you and invite you to play along with us. Click here and link up your creation(s) before June set in.

Here's my card and tell me what you think.
This has been one of my favorite Misteri series by the artist Jen Lee. Click here to purchase this pretty Misteri Graduate.

The sentiment is from Ginger's House which I printed long ago but never use. I was looking through my files and came across this printed word of wisdom and figured it's just perfect for this project. Why not!

I hope you find this card appealing and let me know if you feel the sentiment is true {smile}.
Until I see you again soon.

~Happy Mother's Day~

Woody Rusty Texture Background {Tutorial}

Hello mixed media friends!

I am super happy to bring you another tutorial and share with you my way of creating simple background with just a few basic things.

Some friends of mine were interested to know how I did my textural background with minimalist items and tools. First take a look at my art journal and up-close photographs.
More pictures:
Yes, that's my handwriting {smile}.

Guest Designing @ Cupcake Inspirations {Pastel Challenge}

Hi everyone! Such a lovely day today and all of me feels happy to create a shabby card for Cupcake Inspirations as part of my design team project on behalf of STAMPlorations.

Thank you Cupcake Inspirations for having me in your pastel challenge this time of year.
This bi-weekly challenge is sponsored by Sherry Russ the owner of STAMPlorations and surely you wouldn't want to miss the opportunity of winning awesome prize, wouldn't you?

Here's my card which I hope will inspire you:
I love pastel colors while growing up and still do. The backing paper is from Kaisercraft paper pad that suits the colors in the board below:
My little girl truly fell in love with that cupcakes. I bet the colors attracted her so much.
Who wouldn't eh {smile}
I used manila tags nesting dies from CUTplorations Thin Metal Dies products available at STAMPlorations shop. I layered the different tag sizes on top each other for extra dimension and interest. To finish off the look, I stamped a big trendy butterfly in brown and fixed it on the card and I'm done.

If you are interested to see more new stencils, masks, stamps and dies items, take a peek HERE and just mention my name for discounts:
If you stick a wing item on your project, why don't you join along at STAMPlorations Things With Wings before June arrives. Click here.
That's it. I look forward to see you soon and happy creating.

Mixed Media ~ Things With Wings @ STAMPlorations ~ Blog Hop & Linky Parties

Hi everyone and a happy Sunday.
I am so excited to show you my dt recent mixed media make for STAMPlorations.
Yes, you read right...Mixed Media Challenge is back and once again, we would love to invite all of you to join our Things With Wings blog hop and linky parties.

Create your mixed media project(s) using stencil. It doesn't have to be stencil or mask from STAMPlorations. The only thing we don't want to see is card creation.

I came out with a mixed media art journal made with minimal medium.
 Here are some close-up pictures:

I randomly stamped butterflies and leave as is.
I stamped the butterfly and cut into half and place it on top of each other slightly afar as if the butterfly is fluttering from side way view.

The process was so much fun from beginning. You may be interested to see how this was done so stay tuned for my tutorial coming up next week.

Kindly display this graphic in your blog post to be eligible for the prize and link up here:

I'll be glad if you use my coupon code while shopping at the shop and get 20% off:

That's it for today. Thank you for dropping by with your lovely comment.
Until I see you again soon. Have a good day.

Things With Wings @ STAMPlorations ~ Blog Hop & Linky Parties

Happy May everyone!

I love today for two reasons.
One ~ it's a public holiday in conjunction to Labor Day in my country so my loved ones are home with me which is a blessing because we are all busy human beings living under one room {except one is away at boarding school and only returns every fortnight} and even though we all live in the same house but we only see each other in the evening or close to bed time! Only when everyone is off work and school, the house becomes a home. Sounds awkward eh but that's the kind of lifestyle I face.

Two ~ today nineteen years ago my husband and I tied the knot. That is over a decade now and I feel so blessed to have able to keep the marriage going strong. No celebration between us though because unfortunately he is under the weather the minute he came back from work yesterday so he is in bed resting while I continue making newspaper pots for my okras. I germinated the seeds last week and have great growth day by day until its time to transfer them to single pots.

Okay, its time I take you to STAMPlorations May event namely Things With Wings Blog Hop & Linky Parties the entire month. Go here to hop along and party with us.
What you need to do is create any numbers of wing-themed project(s) that features a tag (tags) and each project is in separate blog post.

I created a tag or should I say three tags in a tag? I combined three different sizes of tags from Tags 1 Nesting Dies
Here are some close-up pictures:
