Follow Your Heart @ STAMPlorations

{My DT work for STAMPlorations}

Hello friends! I am so excited to share another project I did as part of my dt work for STAMPlorations.
This time we bring you a reminder post of the new TAGplorations challenge that is running until end of this month.

I created a set of tags using Manila Tags Nesting Dies:
I stamped the birds directly on the gesso-ed background then I colored each bird according to the fall theme. When dried, I used white gel pen to highlight the birds a little.
 Each tags used three different quotes available herehere and here.
 The background pattern is created randomly by applying modeling paste through circular two ARTplorations stencil. Lastly I splattered white paints when all has dried up.
I sincerely hope you find my fall tags attractive and inspire you to play along in our challenge. Remember to add this graphic in your post  to be eligible for the prize:
That's it for now. I shall be back again with a scrapbook page next.
Have a blessed day

Brave Enough To Fly @ STAMPlorations

{My DT work for STAMPlorations}

Hello there and a happy Sunday! I wish you all fun doings today. Me? Kind of adding some final touches to my sewing and feels so happy, lol. So anyway, today is time to showcase my project I did as part of my dt work for STAMPlorations. Click here to view more awesomeness by my fellow mixed media teammates.

This notebook was given fresh make up with some products from STAMPlorations and mixed media elements.
I bought this notebook at the stationery department and even though I love it in black color but I did wonder if the pvc front cover can hold up clear gesso directly instead of adhering paper strips first of all. This is my first attempt at doing a mixed media project on pvc notebook cover. I told myself if it works, I'll do the happy dance. If not, I will re-do by attaching paper strips first of all.
The sentiment can be found here. I used Crisscrossed stencil to create random patterns using modeling paste. Pva glue was used to glue down the mesh then I brush it away with homemade clear gesso.
I stamped the butterfly and fussy cut it. This time because I couldn't find the wire to make the antenna so I used paper clip within reach and wrap it up with brown thread. Sometimes a missing item makes the brain thinks brighter {smile}.
That's it! Hope you find my work a bit inspiring to create. By the way I found my inspiration after looking at this stunning mood board from Mixed Media Place. I always find that anything against black is incredibly gorgeous.

~~ooOOoo~~
Meanwhile, I am looking forward to your participation at STAMPlorations October mixed media challenge by the end of this month.

Until then. See you when I see you.

Hugs and smiles,

Birthday @ DS4J

{My DT work DS4J}

Hi everyone! This is me bringing another card creation made as part of my dt work for Digistamps4Joy on a beautiful {busy} Sunday. The kids are on a week school break {{{again}}} in conjunction to Dewali celebration this coming Wednesday. I love it when they are off school for a long period of time giving me huge opportunities to do my work without looking at the clock to check if it's time yet to go go go {to school and pick them up...oh, you know, mom's job}.

So without further ado, here's my card using mandalas in the background.
My teammies created beautiful projects to inspire you for Anything Goes challenge this month with a twist Happy Birthday.
 I printed some different mandala designs ~ Flower 1Flower 2Flower 3 and Flower 5. I cut out each of them and spread them all on the background by overlapping the petals for realistic look if I can say that {?!}. What's your opinion?
 After I have glued them all down, I started coloring with watercolors and end up with white paint splatter.
I highlighted some petals by outlining the edges with watercolor pencils and blended with water. No purpose. Just for fun.
This is all for this moment. Stay tuned for next post in an hour time :)
See you soon and thank you for dropping by.

Hugs and smiles,

You Got This @ DS4J

{My DT work for DS4J}

Happy Sunday to you! I realized how each and every day pass by quickly from week to week I can hardly remember what I have done at times {sign of hectic schedule perhaps} but nevertheless I am very pleased with myself with what I completed and achieved day by day. This week I plan to finish off some sewing projects. I shall see {smile}.

What I am showing you today is a card made for Digistamps4Joy and today we bring you new releases at the shop. I used Mechanobug image on my card:
I wanted to highlight the digital stamp therefore I created a less is more background using gesso, texture paste, papers strips and watercolors.
 The image is drawn by Delyth who doodles awesome mandalas and other fabulous images. I printed the image and fuzzy cut neatly then only I started giving it colors.
I had so much fun making this card although at first I did have tough time deciding what to create with this mechanical bug. I love the end result and so does my youngest child who find this image looks like stegosaurus :)

~~ooOOoo~~
That's all I have for today. I thank you for stopping by and do play along in our challenge this month with optional twist happy birthday.

Shine Bright @ MHKDesigns

{My DT work for MHKDesigns}

HI Friends! Today we bring you one out of five new releases at MHKDesigns etsy shop.
I have created a card using this gorgeous sun from Celestial Elements. Click here for details.
A young mother asked me if I would make some plain cards that she can give to her kindy child on different days to color herself. I must say I had hard time making this clean and simple card for a child to use for learn and play. Not sure if this is interactive creation but this is what she wants and I'm sure the child will be happy coloring the sun away.

Next time I will tackle the half moon in the set below:
 That's it for today's show case. I hope you will take a peek at MHKDesigns blog and play along in the monthly challenge.
Have fun and thank you for dropping by.

TAGplorations New Challenge

{My DT work for STAMPlorations}

Hi there beautiful friends! How are you feeling today? I'm good and doing my best to tackle the garden by pulling weeds and clean the lawn before I re-pot some plants seeing that the weather is very co-operative. Let's see how far I can go.

Today is another beautiful day and excitement moment is here eventually. We at STAMPlorations especially my teammies from TAGplorations team have waited patiently to start this new challenge today.
Yes, that is correct, TAGplorations challenge is all about tags!
Your project can be anything but must have tag/s.
"Must I use STAMPlorations die-cut tag to play along...?" you asked. No, it's not required. "But I don't have tag dies..." you said. No problem, make your own tag.
Creativity is all that matters. Smile if you agree :)

Nevertheless each monthly challenge has its theme and optional twist.
October brings you All About Fall theme. Optional twist is colors of red, gold and orange.

To start of, here's clean cut tag with song lyric about love, dream and hope.
 I used the largest size {7cm by 14.5cm} from Manila Tags Nesting Dies. This set contains seven dies in different sizes you will love.
And here are a few close up pictures:
 I used 200gsm watercolor paper to adhere on the backing brown prisma cardboard. But of course before I stick down the watercolor paper, I did my art work first of all. Only when it's completely done and dry, I will glue it down.
 I painted the gesso-ed paper with pattern {seen above is made by applying modeling paste through Merry Go Round ARTplorations stencil) using red and orange watercolors in the first place. It was more of blending colors process to reach satisfaction. Lastly I used finger to highlight the pattern with gold paint. I decided to leave the stamped and cut out STAMPlorations Trendy Butterflies in black and white for contrast against the background. Plus this is a clean cut tag I was making for my client who will laminate herself and that is why I don't do bulky layers which is my favorite style.
And here's the tags again in black ribbon. Trust me, I am not good at making pretty bow whatsoever. This is exactly the way you tie shoe string {smile}.
~ooOOoo~
I am pretty excited to see your creation/s at Mr. Linky and remember you have one month long to play along with us and stand a chance to win awesome prize.
Be sure you display this graphic in your post to be eligible for the prize.
That's it. Until I see you next time.
Stay humble and enjoy the rest of the first fall week this October.

Hugs and smiles,
