{My DT work for STAMPlorations}
Hello there and a happy Sunday! I wish you all fun doings today. Me? Kind of adding some final touches to my sewing and feels so happy, lol. So anyway, today is time to showcase my project I did as part of my dt work for STAMPlorations. Click here to view more awesomeness by my fellow mixed media teammates.
This notebook was given fresh make up with some products from STAMPlorations and mixed media elements.

I bought this notebook at the stationery department and even though I love it in black color but I did wonder if the pvc front cover can hold up clear gesso directly instead of adhering paper strips first of all. This is my first attempt at doing a mixed media project on pvc notebook cover. I told myself if it works, I'll do the happy dance. If not, I will re-do by attaching paper strips first of all.
The sentiment can be found here. I used Crisscrossed stencil to create random patterns using modeling paste. Pva glue was used to glue down the mesh then I brush it away with homemade clear gesso.
I stamped the butterfly and fussy cut it. This time because I couldn't find the wire to make the antenna so I used paper clip within reach and wrap it up with brown thread. Sometimes a missing item makes the brain thinks brighter {smile}.
That's it! Hope you find my work a bit inspiring to create. By the way I found my inspiration after looking at this stunning mood board from Mixed Media Place. I always find that anything against black is incredibly gorgeous.
~~ooOOoo~~
Meanwhile, I am looking forward to your participation at STAMPlorations October mixed media challenge by the end of this month.
Until then. See you when I see you.
Hugs and smiles,
Asmah, that is one beautiful notebook cover. I love the details, textures, layers of stencil, and butterfly. The colors are great choice. Thank you for the inspiration.
