First Snow ~ Digistamps4Joy New Releases

Hi everyone! Wish you a happy weekend. It's new digi time at Digistamps4Joy! There are variety of new beauties in the shop this Sunday {click here to take you to DS4J online shop}.

I applied gesso, splashed some paint, water and combined with modeling paste to create this mixed media art journal pages in my old book using DS4J images namely First Snow and merged with Windy Day. There are colored versions of both images at the shop as well {click here for First Snow daylight, here for First Snow dawn and here for Windy Day}.

Hi everyone! The rain is making me sleepy but I must finish this post so I can submit my layout to Sketchabilities and The Color Rooms. I am satisfied with the way it turns out. Bricks is one of my favorite things and the day I received the Kaisercraft collection from my sister, I was over the moon.

Midway Challenge ~ Digistamps4Joy

Hi everyone! First and foremost I would like to wish a Happy Dewali to my Indian friends and followers who celebrate Dewali. I hope you and your family are having wonderful time on this Festival of Light. I am enjoying the long Dewali holidays with my family. My husband suggested we window shop this evening but I would rather stay home to scrap a layout as planned. We'll see.

I am back with my newest card as a way to remind you a challenge from Digistamps4Joy. My fellow teammate Jackie is hosting this challenge and she chose Animals as the theme.

 It's been a while I make rosette and it's always my favorite thing making paper embellishment from scrap of papers {trying my best to reduce pieces of paper from previous projects!}. My new liking in pointillism inspired by my daughter's school artwork has urged me to make dots around the edge.

New Digi Images @ Digistamps4Joy

Hi everyone! I'm just able to do my post today. Half Sunday was spent at my girls' school for Curriculum Carnival. It was the best day of their school life I should say. Of course we were beat when we got home at 3pm, had lunch, rest and doze off until 7 o'clock. Hubby bought take away dinner for us, ate with sleepy eyes and dive into bed again. I thought I could relax by sitting in front the computer screen after feeding the stomach that night but it was out of mind. Here I am bringing you the latest images from Digistamps4Joy eventually.

Everything has beauty! {Scrap365}

Hi everyone! It's been a while since I play along at Scrap365 and so here's my layout taken two days to complete. I had issues with my paint and got stuck couple nights ago so I end up watching television instead and thinking what should I do with the splattered edges that I wasn't satisfied with! As I watched the entertainment program, I came out with an idea...punch it! Thus MS punch came to rescue in the morning and I'm happy with the end result. 

 Supplies: Kaisercraft patterned paper, Kraft paper, Marta Stewart punch, Versafine ink pad, watercolor, gesso, modeling paste, and others from my stash

Here's the sketch:

Thought of showing you the original plan before I punch the edges and place blue Bazzil cardstock underneath for interest.

I decided to punch away the edges because I didn't love the way I splatter the ink plus it wasn't a happy messy, lol. I almost gave up that night but glad I didn't.
