Remember This Moment @ STAMPlorations

{My Dt work for STAMPlorations}

Hi everyone! I'm back enjoying Sunday; my reading day so to speak. I have a a new layout designed as part of my dt work for STAMPlorations Stencil Sunday and that leads to a new beginning of a monthly mixed media challenge. My fellow teammates displayed gorgeous creations in their blogs as well. Click here.

While heating the car engine to attend a wedding, my eldest daughter requested a photo shoot which is very rare of her of asking knowing how much she gets fed up of her mamarazi taking pictures all the time...yes, my camera follows me All the TIME {giggle}. I couldn't resist the temptation so I snapped her with her brother; they are just a year difference in age. The other two girls were already seated in the car and couldn't be bothered to join the session. Told you they are bored with mamarazi!
Supplies used: Kaisercraft patterned papers, Carla Craft punch, MS punch, Alpha modeling paste and gesso, Versafine ink pads, Buncho watercolors, black gel pen, seed beads, gems, Sizzix dies, twine, my trusty sewing machine, ARTplorations Leaf Bliss stencil

Some close up pictures:
I am inspired by the three colors offered at Art-Piaskownica Challenge Blog to create this page. The colors are perfectly match and the thread itself encourage me to sew the edges. Sewing is also my passion when time permits {smile}.
 This sketch at Srapclub suits my taste so well. Thanks a bunch!
You have one month long to join our mixed media challenge. You can make anything to your heart content but no cards please. Also use stencil/s {any brand or homemade ones} to be eligible for the prize. Send your entries here.
Thank you for visiting me today. Wishing you blue skies and everything nice.

Hugs and smiles,

A Flower Just Blooms!

Hi everyone! I have a new layout today inspired by Scrap Around The World October mood board.
Here's my colorful page:
 I am in love with the colors in the mood board and the sentiment tells me something to be thankful for. There are many things in life I am thankful for and one of them are flowers. I found a meaningful quote from pinterest and used it on my page.
Some up-close shots:
 I made some flowers with Sizzix die cuts. They never look similar {smile}.
 I used modeling paste through a stencil and colored with watercolors after they are dried.
Thank you for dropping by and I shall be back soon. Have a good weekend.

Art Is @ STAMPlorations

{My DT work for STAMPlorations}

Hi everyone! Today we are having a
Special Stamp Release at STAMPlorations. This new fabulous stamp set is named Art Is.

We are doing a mini Blog Hop to showcase these sentiment stamps. SheryIrit, Sari, Shirley, and I are sharing projects we made with the stamp set. You are welcome to hop along and leave comments on STAMPlorations blog and designers' blogs for your chance to win this set.

The Winner will be drawn randomly from comments made on all the blogs. The commenting closes on October 30th and the winners will be announced on November 1st.

Here is my Art Booklet:
Front cover:

This is the back side:
I used bubbles ARTplorations stencil to decorate the covers by using modeling paste through it. For the folded pages, a white gel pen used to outline the bubbles using the stencil and colored with gesso. As for the bigger circles, bottle caps were used.
 ...front and back sides...

One of my favorite STAMPlorations stencils I frequently use is foiled again. Modeling paste was applied through the stencil to create texture. I also stamped the new release randomly in the bubbles for interest.
I hope you have enjoyed my Art Booklet and will have fun time using the stamp set in your creations.

Until November 4 {one week}, Art Is is available at 10% off {$10.80 instead of $12}.
Click here for more info.

Thank you for stopping by and leaving me a comment.

You Did It @ TTCRD {Challenge Oct 27 - Nov 2}

{My DT work for TTCRD}

Hi my friends! It's pouring heavily this minute and I love the sound of raindrops! We want rain so badly after breathing dirty air ever since haze wraps my country the past couple of months and it will continue until January through March next year if the fire in Kalimantan, Indonesia is not put off at all. Bad air, bad pollution, it stinks! Staying indoor is not fun, the schools were forced to close twice so far and life without sun and breeze feels so boring.

On a cheerful note, now that the weather condition is pretty normal {at least yesterday was extremely hot, windy and made me sweat...I like!}, I'm in jolly good mood to craft much  better.

Let me show you my new easel card I made as part of my dt work for Through The Craft Room Door current challenge. Also I made it for my eldest daughter who finished lower form {Form 3} at the boarding school last Thursday. A graduation ceremony which has been the tradition of the school was held to celebrate the upper form students {Form 5} respectively since they will leave the school for good and go to higher institutions next. The Form 3 students were also celebrated as some will stay and some will move on to other branch and some might transfer to ordinary school. Where they will head on depends on their PT3 exam result to come out in December. Please wish my daughter all the luck she needs...thanks {smile}
 I tried my best to color the rob to match my daughter's graduation rob. I would like to thank Paola Jofre for sponsoring TTCRD this week. The image used is You Did It. My wonderful teammates have created amazing cards and projects with hope to inspire you too. Click here.
TTCRD magazine will be released early next month with exciting articles and lots more fun read. You will also get to know the supplies I used to create this  mixed media card. Click here to subscribe if you wish.

Here's my 'Alyaa and me on her special moment:

No mortar board as for now {chuckle}. She still has a long winding road and unknown hurdles to go through to reach success. That's two more years of schooling before tertiary education welcome her. Nevertheless she made me proud on this day and very rewarding too.

I look forward to see your creations at TTCRD blog from today onward. Until then, thank you for dropping by and leave me a comment. See you soon in November with Celebration Blog Hop!

Loving Life @ STAMPlorations

{My DT work for STAMPlorations}

Hello everyone! Here's sharing another piece of mixed media scrapbook page made as my dt work for STAMPlorations Sunday Stencil today. For this layout, I spent some time folding papers to make some 'hydangreas' flowers if I can say that {smile}
The photo of hydrangeas was taken last week while I did my garden. I did a reverse black and white editing for a change and finally decided to color in the photo lightly with watercolor.
My teammates Tanja and Susanne have something exciting to show at their blogs too so don't forget to take a peak.
Supplies used: Gridlocked ARTplorations stencilArtsy Border Maker STAMPlorations stamp, Memory Makers designed paper, Kaisercraft collectables, Alpha gesso and modeling paste, Tim Holtz distressed ink pad, Versafine black ink pad, watercolor pencils, watercolor paints, wire, twine, gem, rhinestones and seed beads.
I think you may have read somewhere in my old posts that I'm such a sucker for bricks. I created a scene here by applying modeling paste through the stencil. I colored them brown and highlight with black pencil for dimension.
Those pink flowers represent hydrangeas. I love teabag fold and making paper flower is one of my favorite things to do during leisure hours {usually I do it while waiting or watching television}. My friend Desire Fourie has the tutorial here.
I enjoyed making the leaves from old book paper.
If you look closely, I sew the twine together and then I sewn it to the designed paper so it stays put {chuckle}.
I am taking my layout to The Scrapbook Store sketch challenge and this is their last one. I totally adore their sketch:
Meanwhile, the October Mixed Media Challenge is still running until the end of the month. Hurry up if you plan to play along. Click here.
Wishing you a great Sunday and enjoy life positively.

Hugs and smiles,
