4th Birthday Blog Hop @ STAMPlorations

{My DT work for STAMPlorations}

Hello everyone! The party continues at STAMPlorations blog hop today on Day Four.
We are all in a party mode and we are sure you will join us to congratulate Shery on 4 fabulous years.

My first card showcasing In-Bloom: Fancy Frangipanis stamp. I started off the background by using texture paste through Peonies All Over ARTplorations stencil. When dried I begun water coloring process as always. I colored the stamped flower with water color pencils and Alpha markers for the leaves. I really adore the beauty of frangipanis; so gorgeous!
Next is a mixed media tag with texture paste usage through Merry Go Round ARTplorations stencil in the background and giving it tones of colors with water color paints. The new product I used is Blossom Sprays 1 stamp and colored with water color pencils.
You are invited to hop along and stand a chance to winning awesome prize:
Why wait? The hop ends on 30th June so I suggest you hop on right away {smile}.

Here's where to find all the details of how to enter and the prizes on offer.
Check out the rest of today's inspiration here and hop along.

Till then. Happy hopping and see you again real soon with more happenings.

Things With Wings Spring Hop {Week 2} @ STAMPlorations

Hello my friends!
Welcome to Week 2 of Things With Wings Blog Hop & Linky Party brought to you by STAMPlorations

Spring is here and we invite you to celebrate with us every Wednesday beginning April 5.
For the next two Wednesdays, we'll be sharing our winged-themed spring projects. You're sure to be inspired and we would love for you to join us by creating and linking your own spring projects -- anything is welcome as long as there are wings in it -- butterflies, dragonflies, birds, fairies, bugs, bees, pterodactyl...anything that flies, really!

We have fabulous prizes to be won and I am sure you wouldn't want to miss a chance because you could be the winner. Visit Week 1 and Week 2 blog hop for details and have a see at the designers fabulous creations to be inspired.

I created a tag using butterfly images from Blossom Like A Butterfly and Trendy Butterflies stamp set. The sentiment is from Trendy Butterflies 2 stamp set.
Some up-close pictures:
As always I started applying clear gesso on a piece of 200gsm acid free drawing paper and adhered layers of tissue paper. Then I dried up with heat gun before I used modeling paste through Bloom Boldly stencil to create patterns in the background before water coloring took off after that.
Next I stamped small butterflies and sentiment directly on the background using Versafine onyx black ink pad. The focal point is the big butterfly placed on gauze and trim; stamped, cut out and colored with oil pastels. I doodle the butterflies and leaves with white gel pen for additional interest and details. Yes, I love attention to details {smile}.
That's it. Simple and easy project if you need to do something quick.
I hope you find some inspirations from my art work today.
Stay tuned for Week 3 Blog Hop next Wednesday.

Happy hopping and be sure to link up your project with this graphic:
See you soon!

Things With Wings Spring Hop @ STAMPlorations

Hello my friends!
Welcome to special edition of Things With Wings Blog Hop & Linky Party brought to you by STAMPlorations

Spring is here and we invite you to celebrate with us every Wednesday beginning today.
For the next 4 Wednesdays, we'll be sharing our winged-themed spring projects.

Visit this link for details and have a see at the designers fabulous creations to be inspired.

I created a pair of Artist Trading Cards with the gorgeous Trendy Butterflies 2 stamp set.
The background was created by applying modeling paste through ARTplorations Circular Two stencil and let dry before watercolors took place.
I decided a minimal element used for a less is more concept for this creation.
This is how it was in the beginning:
I applied clear gesso and placed down a ply of tissue serviette for texture. Then I swipe modeling paste through a stencil.
Isn't the colors below look gorgeous? I often use Alpha watercolors and this project is no exception. To create rustic look,I simply used the combination of these four colors.
The finished product once again:
Taking some inspirations to create from these challenges:
1. Berry71bleu : Mood Board

~~ooOOoo~~

Well I hope you will find my ATCs somewhat inspiring and to your liking.
Thank you for hopping over to my blog today.
Happy creating and link up your project with this graphic:

That's it for now. Have a happy Wednesday and enjoy your day.

Spring Coffee Lovers Hop @ STAMPlorations

Hi and welcome to Spring Coffee Lovers Hop
brought to you by Amy Tsuruta and Chaitali Narla and STAMPlorations
is one of the sponsors offering fabulous prizes just for you.

The designers created fabulous projects using amazing stamps that I am sure you too will fall in love with just the way I do {smile}. I'll be glad to have you over at STAMPlorations blog and join us in the spring coffee lovers hop.

I made two 13x13cm cards using Framed Coffee for Two and A Cup of Roses stamp sets.
I love making my own backgrounds so these cards used ARTplorations stencils available in the shop.
I used masking technique to stamp the background several times and leave them as is except the focal point is colored with Faber Castell watercolor pencils.
The stencils used to create the background is square links.
Just like the card above, my next card is also a minimalist concept using texture paste, stencil, watercolors in the background and light up the stamp with watercolor pencils after fussy cut.
This is one of my favorite stamps!! I just love roses☺and the sentiments are pretty neat.
The background was created with old rose prints stencil using texture paste.
That's it for today. Hopefully you get some inspirations from my minimalist cards.
I sure hope you will enjoy your hop and stand a chance to win great prizes.

~Good Luck~

Trendy Leaves 2 @ STAMPlorations

{My DT work for STAMPlorations}

~BLOG HOP TIME~

Yes, you heard right. STAMPlorations welcome you to join our blog hop, leave comments and let's hope this magnificent new Trendy Leaves stamp set will be yours!
Can you spot the leaves on my layout?
I stamped some leaves using Versafine onyx black ink pad on white watercolor paper. Spent happy moment fussy cut the leaves to tuck them underneath each other as well as paper layers.
I love that beautiful black maple leaf with musical notes on it. I think it looks perfect underneath the purple flower {my middle daughter made it for me many moons ago and finally I decided to use it}.
Heaps of layering here {lol}. I was looking for something in the drawer at my daughter's study table and saw a strip of white netting. I wonder what on earth she was doing behind my back {sniff, sniff...very fishy, haha}. There's finished green food coloring bottle and white tissue serviette turns green; even bits of the white netting was also green!! I cleared the drawer, threw away the bottle, sticky tissue and cut off some of the white netting and tah-dah...it's given a proper place on this layout rather than sitting in the dark drawer for how long I don't know! My middle girl is still having finale primary school exam until Thursday afternoon so I haven't asked her what sort of project she was doing behind my back.
{She always have science projects; slime was one of them early this year and the whole house stinks when she did the science project for homework, lol}.
Confession to make: This photo of my girls {left is Anis with her non-stop science projects and her eldest sister 'Alyaa at the park} was printed last year but I was not pleased with it because it was meant to be black and white. Unfortunately the ink was dying so the printer gave me this purplish photo. At the time I was unsure what to do with it so off it went to live in the box-of-things-to-do-project until I dig it out again for this layout. I did have hard time picking patterned papers to suit the photo though. I placed it on some green patterned papers, pulled out more rustic designed papers to see if it balance, even on a wood one too but in the end I figured some sort of monochrome would do the trick.
Yes, I'm happy with this page at last.
{Took one whole day to complete in different sittings, half day alone on paper selection, seriously!}.

And more up-close shots:
As always I needed a sketch to kick start work on my layout. This fab sketch from Scrap Club inspired me to keep going {smile}:
And also the Home & Scrapped Stash Buster challenge:
I hope my layout gives you some inspirations and hopefully you have enjoyed hopping.
All the best to you and I sincerely hope this new stamp set prize will be yours!

More information on the stamp set, please click hereUntil September 13, this set is available at 10% off.
Coordinating dies is available here.

That's it for today. Thank you for hopping and stay cool.

You Can Fly @ STAMPlorations {Special Stamp Release Hop}

...STAMPlorations ~ "Trendy Birds 2" New Stamp Release...

Hello everyone! Are you ready to join our hop? Yes? You may stand a chance to win the new stamp set if you do. Sounds easy huh? Just hop and leave comment.
Click HERE to take you to STAMPlorations blog.

I have created a layout emphasizing on bird theme.
Can you find the stamped birdie?
This is the stamp set that will be yours if you are the lucky winner!

What do you think of the stamped typography birdie? Beautiful isn't it? I love it. I fuzzy cut  and distress the edge with blunt scissor.
Some quotes placed on this page to motivate my big girl who loves climbing ever since she "found" her legs at tender age of 8 months old and still love to climb at this age now sweet 16 {smile}.
Plenty of layering. The more the merrier.
I wrote my feelings for my girl on the branch. I added more leaves through leaf bliss large ARTplorations stencil using modeling paste and colored in green shades when dried.
I love this photo of her sitting in the tree photographed by me on May 1 {another special day because it was my 17th WA. We spent some time sight seeing at the park}.
I also gain some color inspirations from this lovely mood board at Scraps of Darkness.
I love earth colors very much and used up almost all the colors in the mood board.
This awesome sketch from Scrap Club is used to kick start my layout.
I used one photo and played with punched leaves for bulky layers.
I hope you have enjoyed hopping from one dt's blog to another and be inspired too.
Hopefully you like my layout this time. Until then.
Thank you and have a good day.

Hugs and smiles,
