Wonder

Hi everyone! I am so happy to finally scrap this photograph of my son. It's not really a photograph so to speak but my niece recorded play time moment at my mother's house way back in probably 2008 I think...long long ago. My son was 7 then. Some time back my sister watched the video once again and fell in love with this boy's look as if he was thinking over something. She clicked right there and printed into photograph. One fine day, I received her package with the photo, oh my, big size...lol. I haven't done a page with triple size for so long so that's why it take me this long to scrap it eventually.
This layout is made for Purple Pumpkin monthly challenge using this sketch which I twist a little bit by reversing it to the right side:

Supplies: Simple Stories patterned paper, Tim Holtz Distress Marker, Kaisercraft ink pad, sentiment from Ginger's House, watercolor, Gesso and others from my stash

Some close-ups:
I used a template to draw the flowers on drawing block paper, cut out, painted with watercolor, peel off some first layer to make it look rusty, distressed and highlighted a bit with gesso.
A handwritten journal for my son. I made this journal style for my previous layout and decided to do it again for this page.
My intention was to use brown jut but I can't exactly remember where I keep it so end up with baker's twine instead, erm, not bad I think.
Gesso-ed the title a bit. Added a quote at the bottom page.
I enjoyed making this layout because my children joined me painting on the floor as well, lol. It was a hot day and we just had lunch and need to relax a bit. I think this is the first time I did my layout on the floor :-)
Thank you for spending a moment reading my blog. Your crafty support is so important to me.
Hugs and smiles,

  2. Hi Asmah
I was hopping around my usual blogs and came across your name and clicked on out of curiosity as I wondered if you may be Malaysian. I then gasped when I saw you are in SP, which is where some of my family live. . . . . .what a small world! Im in the Uk but my dear late Mum was Malaysian and I've visited "home " several times.
Sorry for waffling. . . . .Im just happy to have stumbled into a Malaysian crafter lol!
Im a card and jewellery maker rather than scrapper but this is a wonderful page you have created for your son.
I have become a follower and look forward to seeing some more of your creations.
Terima kasih (I think that's right lol!)
