Once again I wish to share my creations with hope that these ATCs may inspire you to play with watercolors if you like that.

I simply used very basic art ingredients from gesso to modeling paste and a sweet helper from STAMPlorations product named Old Rose Prints and watercolors.

Final step was adhering sentiment. I used black watercolor for highlight.

Hi everyone! It's mid-December and sixteen days left till we bid the year farewell. I am still holidaying with my children and spending time with my mother is always greatest moments ever.

So anyway, today I have shabby sparkly tags to share with you.

I made these tags from my favorite Kaisercraft papers combining DS4J images. I hope they will inspire you to create something special today.

I used a chorus part from Pink's popular song Just Give Me A Reason simply because I love her song.

The background was adhered with layers of paper strips and gesso to build texture. I also used texture paste througj Bubbles stencil to create patterns.

As always I played with watercolors from soft to darker colors.

This art journal is a collaboration between me and my eldest daughter. For the first time I decided to have her drawing on my art. 'Alyaa loves anime at the moment and draws anime in her free time. She was somewhat surprised when I asked her to draw me a long haired sad lady directly on my art. She sketched on a paper first and after getting my approval, she nervously draw on my textured background. I was satisfied with her drawing and began to color her.

I was inspired to create this piece of art from this lovely mood board at Berry71bleu:

☺❤Hi everyone! Welcome to December❤☺

As you are reading my post for today, my children and I are enjoying the school holidays with my Mother at her home. We arrived on Saturday morning after some seven hours bus ride from my home. It's great to be back at my hometown here in the southern peninsula where I grew up and attained my kindergarten to elementary to high school education. The only person I miss so much being home is my late father. So many fond memories every time I am home.

Aaah,enough melancholic. Today at Scrap Africa, we have a new mood board challenge.

I absolutely in love with the colors in the board because red...I repeat...red is my favorite color {smile}.

My children have finished school term for the year and we are spending five weeks school holidays with my Mother. The new school term will reopen on 1 January 2017. That is correct...they return to school on New Year!

Greatness Within You {Art Journal} @ DS4J

Happy Sunday everyone! I spend some hours today ironing a pile of clothes and I tell you this domestic work was enjoyable simply because I did it in front of the television watching one program after another {smile}. Let it be ironing alone would be boring eh! How's you Sunday? I hope it's happy and productive. 

Today is a new release images at Digistamps4Joy. There are so many new lovelies at the shop and we hope you will like what you see here.

I made a simple spread of art  journal in an old book using Red Robin applique bird image. I printed a few birdies and also reversed the image so few of them can face each other.

 I printed some birdies and reversed few of them at PhotoScape editor so they can see each other and mingle by the seaside. Oh how fun is that?

 I wasn't too sure about the fence though. I mean, fence at the beach? Why not eh? Erm, this must be a rough beach to have fence installed.They are pieces of chippies from cardboard boxes.

 The sentiment is from pinterest. Deep meaning isn't it? 

 For the background I glue down some pieces of white tissue serviette and drywall tape all over the pages for texture. In the center, I adhered a piece of gauze; this one is extras from the dentist when my little girl had her milk teeth extracted months ago.

As always, when the pages were done, I gesso-ed everything lightly and let dry naturally. Watercolors were the biggest role here to make the process comes alive. Took me some thirty minutes playing with colors and dry with heat gun to see the dried effect. I added more highlights here and there until I was fully satisfied. Eventually I glue down the birds and used aqua brush to paint them with watercolors. The final touch was gluing down black sequins to their eyes. Well after all they are applique so they need tender loving care {smile}.

I hope you like my work this time and hopefully it inspires you to make something to do.
