{My DT work for TTCRD}

Hello there! How's everyone doing? So far so good on my end, just keeping myself busy crafting or browsing the net if not lying down reading, erm, don't need to mention the usual routine and endless housework, lol.

I am so happy to welcome three new friends to my blog. So happy to see the beautiful faces of Laura Jane, Lorraine Mackie and Willeke every time I am at my virtual home. Thank you ladies for clicking the follow button {{{hugssss}}}

Moving on to my DT project for Through The Craft Room Door, here is my watercolor-over-gesso(ed) card; which you can read more of the supplies used in July/August TTCRD magazine {soon to come}If you do not currently subscribe to the magazine you will need to go to the top of the page on the website and click on the Subscription/Renewals tab or click here.
 This week we are sponsored by Little Claire
and the lucky winner gets 10 pounds of their digi images. The image I used is You Are Lovely which you can get here. Isn't that a beauty?

You have six days to submit your project to TTCRD challenge, remember, only two projects allowed. I'll be selecting the one I like best to be in Top 3 winners. Sounds good? Don't wait till the last minute {smile}.

I'm taking my painted mixed media card into these challenges:

Felt with the heart! {An Art Journal Page}

{My DT work for DS4J}

Hi again! As promised yesterday, I'm back to show you my latest artwork using Digistamps4Joy digi image. Our artist Riette has drawn five new digi images and they are now available in the shop.
The image I used is named Daisy Bucket. Click here for more info.
Supplies: DS4j digi image, Kaisercraft brick template, Alpha gesso & modeling paste, Copic Sketch, Buncho watercolor, Versafine black ink pad, Staz-on brown ink pad, Micia brown ink pad,  Pelikan Krakelee Antique Varnish (crackle medium), quote by Helen Keller (computer generated), Carla Craft leave punch, black gel pen and paper serviette for texture

Some up-close photos:
 I used crackle medium for the pots and bricks to crack them up.
Paper serviette is one medium I love using to create texture. Some punched leaves adhered and doodle for highlight.
I have chosen a color palette by Colette from Cosmic Strawberry who picked bright summery colors. Isn't that lovely sunny colors?
I am also entering a new challenge hosted by Pamellia Johnson whom I came to know while commenting her wonderful creations. She created a new mixed media challenge named Anything But Cute which is full of awesome projects by her design team. Click here to have a look at their first challenge Vintage Garden.

 I am also inspired by May Flowers challenge at The Mixed Media Challenge Blog. I love flowers and gardening so to speak. When I don't plant one in the garden, I plant one on paper :-) I think it's easier to do gardening on paper or canvas than doing it for real, lol. Well however I love gardening and spent a week or so reformatting my lawn back in January and maintain the greenery until we get torrential rain throughout April that leads me to sit indoor and play with paints than soil {smile}
Lastly I am heading to Frilly and Funkie to enter my artwork in their Snap, Crackle, Crackle! challenge.

That's it for today. I have had so much fun being messy lately and planning to continue the fun tonight if mojo doesn't fly away.

Thank you for visiting me today and I truly appreciate the comments  you leave behind. Until the morning after, take care and have a nice day.

Hugs and smiles,

STAMPlorations Mixed Media Designer

...Greetings & Salutations...
Hi everyone! I have been keeping a big secret for nearly a month now. It's pretty hard to do so but I've been good with this one {chuckle}.

It's official happy news to announce on this day that Shery Russ has selected me in her brand new STAMplorations Mixed Media Design Team commencing in July.
  I am thrilled and honored to be given the opportunity {thank you Shery}.
Take a peek at STAMPlorations here and here for inspirations, challenges and more.

Looking forward to bringing you my creations for STAMPlorations Mixed Media in July. Meanwhile here's sharing sneak peak of my projects submission that won Shery's heart.
Until I see you real soon, have a great weekend and happy creating.

You Are Fantastic {Digistamps4Joy Challenge #112}

{My DT Work for DS4J}

Hi everyone! I'm back to remind you that we are half-way into May. That simply means mid-challenge reminder at Digistamps4Joy! The theme is "Buttons, Bows and Bling" and hosted by my teammate Sara Marie. We would like to see all three items on your paper project with either digi image or rubber stamp. Should you use DS4J image, count yourself a bonus for extra prize from the store owner, Margaret Kieser if your project becomes the design team choice.

The sentiment I used on my book cover can be purchased here.
 Supplies: DS4J digi image, Kaisercraft patterned paper, Marta Stewart border punch, Micia brown ink pad, gem, buttons, eyelets, crop-a-dile and ribbon

I just love lacing and ribbon work so I combined the two on my paper project. I usually use ribbon for embroidery and flower making. As for the bow, I'm only good at doing shoe string bow and other than that will be just a simple knot {hehe}

I would like to take my love for ribbon work into these challenges:
1. Inspiration Destination : Anything Goes
2. Fresh Brewed Blog : Ribbon or Twine
3. The Crafter's Cafe : Feminine

Hinged Books {TTCRD Challenge May 12-18}

{My DT work for TTCRD}

Hi everyone! Time pass by so quickly and unbelievable that we are now living on the 12th day of May. So what have I been up to? The usual routine of course except creating different things day by day depending on my mood. Today is time for another challenge at Through The Craft Room Door and as usual we allow you to link up with your own two Anything Goes projects this fortnight.

I have made two mini books using hinges; something I have been aiming doing in several moonlights over the years and only now I managed. I remember buying the hinges two years ago! Enough blab; here's the pictures:
 Supplies of products used can be read in TTCRD the upcoming edition of July/August magazine. Click here for magazine subscription/renewal.

Some close-up pictures:
I made these little books for my girls who want something different. This is not my original idea however. I came across this wonderful idea while reading an Australian magazine way back in 2007. My credit goes to Brigette Grant whose lovely hinged albums was published in Stamping & Papercraft magazine Vol.11 No 3. I tried in vain to get in touch with her so I could thank her personally. If any of you know her, please email me {thank you}.

This is an easy project to make but bear in mind that the size may be small yet it is quite heavy so be careful not to drop it and hurt your toes!

I'm taking these little books into these challenges:
1. 613 Avenue : Anything Goes
2. Craft Your Passion : Anythingg Goes
3. Sister Act Card : Anything Goes
4. Inspiration Destination : Anything Goes

Once again, please know how thankful I am for seeing you here and supporting my work. I shall always try to return the favor whenever possible.

Hugs and smiles,

Happiness ~ NSD & Let's Capture Our Memories

Hi everyone! Wishing you a happy May. I've not been blogging for a while. Just kind of busy doing behind the scene projects and making some flowers while waiting for my girls to finish school or while waiting in 'q'! Yup, that's me, my fingers don't know how to stop working and so is my brain, lol.

Before I go further, I would like to welcome a new found friend cum my new follower Colette to my blog. Colette runs a monthly challenge on her blog Cosmic Strawberry. This month she is challenging you with sunny and bright colors challenge. Take a peek here for closer look!

Today I would like to share a layout I just completed an hour ago. You may see the usual signature style of me on this layout; stitching is main factor, butterflies flutter by is another element I love having on my page, layering but this time is quite moderate and my handwritten journal to adorn the page since I stayed away from paints and mixed media stuff so I figured the handwriting here and there is like splattering some paints {chuckle}.
Supplies: Kaisercraft patterned papers, alpha rubber stamps, Sizzix Botanical Wings Dies, Carla Craft punch, Marta Stewart border punch, butterflies from Webster's Pages, Alpa marker, Tim Holtz distress ink, Versafine black ink pad, Micia blue ink pad, black gel pen, gem, leave stamp, cardstocks and my trusty sewing machine

This layout is based on this sketch...
I have chosen a beautiful rows of colors from this palette at Let's Capture Our Memories for my page and entered their challenge.
I love drooling at that gorgeous mason jars! So pretty!

Here are some up-close pictures:
Thank you for stopping by today. Hoping you get lots of happiness this weekend.

Hugs and smiles,
