Welcome Home

Welcome to my home everyone! It's mid-challenge time for your favorite theme Anything Goes challenge at DigiStamps4Joy and you have until April 16 to submit you paper creations. Check out what Team B has designed for your inspirations at DS4J.

First let me tell you that I love cottages! I just adore the stunning cottages in England and used to 'build' 1000+ jigsaw pieces into a beautiful cottage that is hanging at my parents' home in their living room (my father shared my love for wall hanging pictures, awesome:). I also display an array of fridge magnet cottages on my fridge (hubby never complains, so I can always hunt for more:). I've cross-stitched a beautiful Edwardian Cottage also hanging at my parents' bedroom wall. Meanwhile I am struggling to finish my own wall hanging for my home and this cross-stitch project has taken me over a year (sigh) but I love this particular cottage I won't give up because my next cross-stitch project would be Periwinkle Cottage that my sis Lili plans to do as well. Let's see if I can beat her; erm, not on the finishing line but who will start first, bahahaa =D

Aaargh, enough rambling, here's my card for your view. I have used Wisteria Splendour and you can get the image here.
Supplies: digi stamp from DS4J, Copic Sketch, gesso, Kaisercraft ink pad, MS border punch, Carla Craft punch, Tattered Angel Glimmer Mist, bird house stamp from Sweet Tweets stamp set exclusive freebie from Australia Scrapbook Ideas, Versa Fine ink pad, pp from Kaisercraft (paper scraps rather:)
My intention was to use a chippie fence at the bottom of the card but what I have is too short so I used MS punch to make my fence.
I use corrugated box to make the bricks and applied lots of gesso. Then I placed the 'front wall' of my cottage on the brown corrugated cardstock I have been keeping for 11 years!
This card design has inspired myself to make a wall hanging project next time most probably with similar image because that front door drawn by Margy is pretty much the same like my front door except mine is grey has 12 panels except I don't have that bricks, I wish :)
I hope this artsy work gives you some inspirations.
Before I close my door, I'm taking this card into these challenges:
1. Crafter's Digital Artist Center : Anything Goes
2. Sketches 4 All : Using Corrugated Cardboard
3. Fab'n'Funky : Spring Colors
